Already with a widely acclaimed EP called Boys, released in 2017, Linn Koch-Emmery is back with the brand new Waves, a second EP which blended together with the first one creates the full length album Waves/Boys. The Stockholm-based but Göteborg-signed singer-songwriter is a European indie rock rising star with a huge future ahead of her. With live performances that undoubtedly impress, the Welfare Sounds & Records artist has had the opportunity to tour around Europe in internationally-renowned festivals and even in America, as opener for the band Johnossi.
This brand new album is therefore a powerful collection of eight energetic rock songs, all led by solid guitar riffs and Linn Koch-Emmery’s typical voice as a bonus ingredient to this earworm recipe. It opens with the brand new single Don’t sleep on my luv that clearly indicates, from the start, the album’s underground rock sounds, driven by simple yet immensely catchy melodies. Three other new and even so catchy tracks follow, supplemented by four more from her first EP, which has already had a certain success.
